• Nobody can join? Everyone must be on the same Wi-Fi, and that network must allow devices to talk to each other. Public, hotel, school, and office networks often block this (client isolation). The most reliable fallback is a personal hotspot.

• From a computer: type the address shown under the QR code into the browser's address bar, then tap "Let in" on the phone. The same word pair appears on both screens, so you always know exactly who you are letting in.

• Sharing stops in the background: iOS pauses network listeners when an app leaves the foreground. Keep Droproom open while people transfer; it resumes automatically when you come back.

• Is it encrypted? Transfers stay inside your local network but are not encrypted — share with people you trust.

• Free limit: the free tier includes 5 shares. One share covers a full 24 hours — however much you send and however many devices join — and unused shares never expire. A one-time purchase removes the limit.
